AI recipe videos are one of the fastest growing formats on YouTube Shorts and TikTok. A custom cartoon or robot chef, a beautifully lit kitchen, real cooking steps shown scene by scene. Millions of views, zero filming, zero cooking.

This tutorial gives you a 4 stage master prompt system that handles everything — picking your dish, designing your character, setting up your kitchen, and generating a scene by scene image and video prompt for every cooking step.

What you need: ChatGPT or Claude to run the prompts, Midjourney or Google Flow for images, Runway or Kling for video clips, ElevenLabs for voiceover, CapCut to assemble. All free or freemium.

01 — How the System Works

The whole system runs inside one ChatGPT conversation. You go through 4 stages, one after the other. By the end you have a complete production package: a unique character, a matching kitchen, and a fully scripted scene by scene visual breakdown of the entire recipe.

🍕
Stage 1
Pick a Dish
Any cuisine, any recipe you want
🤖
Stage 2
Design Character
Robot, animal or human chef
🍳
Stage 3
Design Kitchen
Matches the dish culture
🎬
Stage 4
Scene Prompts
Image and video for every step

The secret to making this work visually is consistency. The character looks exactly the same in every scene. The kitchen never changes. The pot on the stove in scene 3 is the same pot in scene 7. This is what makes it feel like a real show rather than a random AI slideshow.

02 — Character Types

Before running the prompt, decide what kind of chef character you want. This choice defines the whole visual identity of your channel.

🤖
Robot Chef
LED eyes, steam hands, chrome body. Futuristic and unique. Very high virality.
🐻
Animal Chef
Bear, fox, panda in a chef hat. Cute and shareable. Works great for family content.
👨‍🍳
Human Chef
Stylized human with a distinct look. Closest to real cooking shows. Most relatable.

03 — The Master Prompt

Paste this into ChatGPT. It will guide you through all 4 stages in one conversation. Tell it your dish, your character type, and it handles everything else — designing the character, building the kitchen, and writing every single scene prompt for the recipe.

Master Prompt — AI Recipe Video Generator
Your job is to create consistent AI image and video prompts for international recipe videos.STAGE 1 — DISH SELECTION Show the user this message and wait for their answer:"Which dish would you like to make a recipe video for?Popular suggestions: Italian: Carbonara, Risotto, Tiramisu Asian: Pad Thai, Ramen, Sushi, Dumplings Mexican: Tacos, Guacamole, Quesadilla Turkish: Iskender, Manti, Kunefe American: Smash Burger, Mac and Cheese, Pancakes French: Croissant, Creme Brulee, Ratatouille Indian: Butter Chicken, Biryani, SamosaOr type any dish you want!"Wait for the user to reply.STAGE 2 — CHARACTER DESIGN After the user picks a dish, ask: "What type of chef character do you want? Robot chef, animal chef, human chef, or something else?"When they answer, create a detailed English character prompt with: Appearance: Detailed physical features including color, clothing and accessories Signature Feature: One unique element that makes the character memorable (LED eyes, steam hands, magic spatula) Character Identity Code: A short consistent description used in all scene promptsSTAGE 3 — KITCHEN DESIGN Write one English kitchen environment prompt that matches the culture of the chosen dish. Include: Kitchen Style: Modern minimalist, rustic country, industrial or traditional ethnic Counter: Material, color, texture Background: Wall color, decoration, window and light Fixed Elements: Consistent objects visible in every scene Kitchen Identity Code: A short consistent description used in all scene promptsSTAGE 4 — SCENE PLANNING AND PROMPT GENERATION Break the recipe into logical cooking steps. For each step create both an image prompt and a video prompt.IMAGE PROMPT RULES: Include Character Identity Code and Kitchen Identity Code in every prompt. Describe the exact cooking stage in detail. Show the character performing the action in the foreground. All recipe ingredients and equipment must be consistently described in every scene. Kitchen tools like pots and pans must never change appearance between scenes. Do not use phrases like "same pot" — instead fully describe the pot in detail every time. Include what was prepared in previous scenes and its current state. Specify camera angle: overhead, 45 degree or close up. Lighting: natural, warm studio or other. Style: Hyper realistic, professional food photography, 8K, cinematic lighting.VIDEO PROMPT RULES: Start from the image prompt. Specify camera movement: zoom in, zoom out, pan right, static, slow push in. Describe character hand movement in detail. Include any focus shift if relevant. Duration: 3 to 5 seconds. Include any steam, sizzle, splash or glow effects. Add a 6 second Turkish voiceover line where the character explains what they are doing at that moment. Integrate this dialogue into the video prompt.Scene continuity is critical. Kitchen tools must never change appearance. Describe them fully every time without using code names or the word "same".

Pro tip: After getting your character prompt in Stage 2, generate 4 to 5 versions in Midjourney and pick the one you like most. Save that image and use it as a reference image in all subsequent scene generations. This locks the character appearance completely.

04 — Assembly and Publishing

Once you have all your scene images and video clips, bring everything into CapCut. Import the clips in recipe order, add the Turkish voiceover from ElevenLabs using a warm friendly voice, and sync each clip to the narration line written in the video prompts.

  • Add kitchen background sounds from Freesound: sizzling, chopping, water boiling. Keep it subtle under the voiceover
  • Total video length: 45 to 90 seconds depending on recipe complexity
  • Use the first scene image (character with all ingredients laid out) as your thumbnail
  • Title format: "[Character name] makes [dish] 🍕" or "How to make [dish] the right way 👨‍🍳"
  • Pin a comment: "Which recipe should [character name] make next? 👇"
  • The most viral cuisines right now: Italian, Japanese and Turkish
  • Post 3 to 5 times per week — the character becomes the brand over time
